I've tried that set up, and it doesn't get me a better lap. The set up you posted is still the best for me.

I've tried your setup.
My best lap tme is:1:16:148

WITH RED BULL!!!!!!
Am using an xbox controller but how is it possible 1:09.000 with TORO ROSSO??????
I don't understand and i haven't got any idea where is this 6 sec diff. on the track.

Maybe could go max 0.5 faster than this but 2 or 3 sec is freaky..

What's the trick to going fast here? I struggle and I can't find out where to improve. I can do a best lap of about 1:13.5xx here.

Best I can do at the last corner is about 4th gear and 177 KPH out of the corner. What do you do?

Thanks heaps for this setup, I managed to drop my previous best time of 1.13.8 down to 1.12.02 in the McLaren ;)

idk what my deal is i am running flawless laps pushing the car all that i can with being on the track and i can't get below 1.16.24 thats my best lap the car im using is the virgin mobile in career mode. if you have any idea shoot them out there. and could it just be the car? would being on a better team make enough difference to better my times? thanks

I'd say that you'd easily get around 2-3 seconds a lap better if you were in a better car. Try going to Time Trial and pick either of the top teams, load your set up and see what you can get. I myself am not very fast in Montreal, best I can do in a McLaren is around 1.13.1xx. Disappointing considering I'm Canadian haha.

I'm driving for Virgin at the moment and I am easily getting 1:16 round Montreal. My fastest so far is 1:15:36 and I'm sure I could get a 1:14

My Set-up is really simple:
- First choose the fastest setting on quick set-up for dry, the highest top speed and lowest downforce, oversteer too.
- Then go to Aerodynamics and change front wing to 5 and rear wing to 3, this counteracts the oversteer and makes a fast and responsive car

Try it and tell me what you think!

Not sure if this set up will work with all cars, but for the Virgin it works a treat

My best is a 1.13.625 in an At&T Williams with the first setup, just different camber settings

What's the trick to going fast here? I struggle and I can't find out where to improve. I can do a best lap of about 1:13.5xx here.


commitment and late braking, be ultra agressive and use KERS coming out of the hairpin and the last chicane. my best with the stock dry setup was a 1:10.287 and im sure with a good setup i could knock a few tenths off that.

James, I just Qualified 5th with your rain setup, and won the race with your setups.

This race was in career mode with an HRT, with Professional AIs, I was so amazed and happy

I should've gotten double championship points for this race. Used James setup, qualified pole, let the field pass (to get the XBox Achievement "Against All Odds"), then ended up lapping the entire field....TWICE! That deserves double points, yeah?

This is my setup, with McLaren I turn off TCS and ABS, but with Ferrari I turn them on full. Both could do 1:13.xxx (nearly beat Barrichello record)

Aero: F1R1
Brake: I use engineer far right
Balance: Engineer again, but Anti roll bar is tuned. Front is 1, rear is 11
Suspension: First 2 are 1, the rest are 11
Gearbox: Normal
Engine: Fast, 5 laps
Alignment: First two to the far left, the rest are far right
