Notes

This was a very good set up with a fair balance of race pace and tyre life. Managed to do 26 out of 56 laps on Options alone which was used for 2 laps in Q3. So only did a 1 pit stop and finished 20 seconds ahead of 2nd on Legend Ai. The front tyres most of the beating through the long fast corners in sector's 1 and 3. During race, I found it useful to put rear brake bias towards rear as it reduces the amount of work the front brake and tyres do which helps with reducing tyres locking up in main heavy braking zones.

Note:

I tried a 1 stopper and did well on the first stint on the medium tyres but the degradation on the hard tyres was higher than I wanted and expected so I pitted on Lap 45 and put a set of options on.The first stint options lasted 22 laps which already had been used in Qualifying on 2 fast timed laps with addition to the out and in lap.The primes lasted 23 laps for me, it still had plenty of grip but the two mercedes in second and third were lapping 2.4 seconds average faster than me, so I decided to put a new set of options on. Just got first by 0.3 seconds as when I came out of pits on lap 46, I was 10 seconds behind the two mercedes who have been close to each other for most of the race. Did take over them on the long straight with DRS but a tricky end on sector 3 as I used too much throttle and slid once or twice.

A one stopper is easily possible but my driving style didn't suit a 1 stop strategy as I kept on spinning the rear ends in an attempt to stay in the front. The hard tyres could still got the end in doing 30+ laps but by lap 45, I was doing 1:47s and 1:148s when the Mercedes Ai were doing  low 1:44s easily. This was on legend difficulty, so a lower difficulty may suite over people.

A last note would be that I did notice that a one stopper and still winning  or at least getting second could of been possible if I started on fresh hard tyres as my lap times on the hard tyres was still same with Ai until everyone pitted around lap 33, there fore If I went hard then medium instead of the over way around then a one stopper and getting a top 2 finish is still possible.
