When I rerun the old setup it felt horrible. So this is perhaps the biggest change from worst to better in an completely new overhaul. A new version for China that for me is much easier to drive and gave me trust in the car finally.

Hey racing mates, it's me again, continuing my Haas series here for the whole season and all tracks. Race 3 is in China and I really like the design of this track.. but God damn to find a setup and to deal with tyre wear here is a hard task. Was tuningaround a lot and didn't find a good solution for more than 8 laps and then got some inspiration by an "extreme" time trial setup. I was pretty sure it won't work for 100% career but I gave it a shot and.. it worked! The handling with this setup is absolutely awesome, the Haas never felt that good. And tyre wear is very good, you should do the management programme with ease ;)
This time, I post the setup after I did the race, so I added lap data screenshots from the race for you. You can see that we started on Inters and afterwards my engineer pulled out a 2 stop strategy with mediums because I chosee the harder compounds for the weekend. Some others did 3 stopps with supersoft/soft/medium but it should end up the same when you deal with the wear and when you are not stuck in traffic. Had a terrific race with VSC at the end and some hard DRS fights against Williams but ended up 8th and that's a really strong result on Legendwithout assists in a Haas in my opinion :)

Thanks for this set up Stadtaffenking. Works Well. 

I first tested it along with a few others on Time Trail, where it got me round in a 1.36.6. Perfect, 8 tenths faster than my previous best. 

So I head to my Career(Season 1, Force India, 2 upgrades. 1 to downforce and 1 to engine). 

Practice :- Tyre Management, set on the supersoft passed with ease. 

Qualifying:- 

Q1:- 1.38.148(SuperSoft)                              Q2:- 1.40.353 (Soft, took it out easy as wanted to start race on them. Got me through in 9th)                                            Q3:- 1.37.427 (SuperSoft) 

Race:- 

IT'S RAINING FGS!!!!!(Risked getting knocked out of Q2 setting a time on the soft tyre for race strategy, only for it too rain. Should have checked the forecast).  Anyway Due to little time I race on 25% distance. 

Race starts on Inters.  They hold up well, and are only 39% Worn at the front left by the 10th lap when I pit. I put on the supersoft boots to get me through to the end of the race. 5 laps. I was a bit worried, but pushed hard for the full  final 5 laps anyway. By the end of the Race the supersofts were worn by around 45%. Setting a fastest Race Lap of 1.39.736. 

In Summery, The set up feels great, it turns in well and the traction coming out of the slow corners isn't lacking. There are only 2 faults I could pick up with the set up. 1,The back end is a little twitchy, as the car feels incredibly light. 2, It makes for a bumpy ride on an otherwise relatively smooth circuit. However you get used to that and don't even notice it after 5 or 6 laps.  Works Very well in the dry, but a little more unstable in the wet. Although I was grateful for the extra wing on the set up.  

Tyres wise, I would say for this circuit isn't actually half bad. Degradation depends on how you are treating them. At 25% Race distance, Push the SS to the limit and they will degrade by around 9-10% per lap. Treat them well and you will get about 6-7% Deg per lap. For the soft compound, the above are -2% Deg and for the medium it's -4% Deg, or around that sort of margin. 

Great set up, Good tyre life, and fun to drive. Cheers dude.

This is for my Williams Career mode, it may sound boring but i'm doing the full 10 seasons with them so my setup around here goes like this, it is season two with full engine upgrades, 2 or 3 for fuel, chassis weight 2, downforce 4, and drag 2.

These setups may work differently depending on the upgrades.

P - 1.35.793 (Heavy fuel load on lap 1 of qualifying pace programme.)
Q - 1.34.702 (could find a couple of tenths in second sector.)
R - 1.36.354 (Finished 2nd, 1-2 for Williams.)

This setup works well for me, I can get it in the 34s if I push hard, possibly 34.4s. 

If this setup doesn't work for you I have another.

These are just a few tweaks, if you struggle with problems during race change front wing angle up 1 for each compound, SS stays the same, in this case 5, S=6 and M=7 or 8 play around with the setup see what you think, I found this setup was better for the mediums.

Great setup.  Works well with my G29 on PC.  I using auto gears and traction control on normal.  I times went from 1.44 to 1.39 within two laps of my trying your setup.  The car feel more stable and easier to control the spin.

Setup is based on my sauber setup, tried to change it to make it better for Mclaren but it made it worse, so the only change is the front brake bias. It works well for me. I haven't tried any cars besides a couple of laps besides sauber and now McLaren so I am not sure but I think it seems that you can use a good setup for any car. I need to continue to explore this thesis.

First post here. New-ish to the Codemasters F1 games and starting off with F1 2016. So far, very impressed. I've been trying setups here for the last few weeks and they have been very helpful. 

Based on my limited knowledge of F1 cars, I've been able to get a setup that worked well for me. With this one, I wasn't chasing outright speed but trying to balance pace with tyre deg. It worked great for me to the point where I was able to get a purple score in the tyre wear program and the wear was more or less even on the tires. Hopefully it helps.

 The idea here was to combat the sustained cornering you experience at this circuit. To do this, I wanted to get the transmission of power right so as the wheels would get maximum traction without locking up hence, a locked differential made sense. It would allow the two wheels to rotate at the same speed. I could have gone with a higher level for transmission off throttle and that would have helped with S2. The other thing I focused on was the camber angle and suspension. I kept the suspension close to neutral and gave it a decent camber to maximize the contact patch during the corners. This would aid both with speed and tire wear. It sort of worked, S2 still wasn't quite there but I think I could tweak it to go faster.

I have been racing HAAS also not on  legend. Took your setup tweek to my driving style it and came up with the best times and tire wear for Xbox on...
