This is a mixture of the 2 above setups as they both had their flaws. For me (and this car) this is a perfect setup. Great traction, very easy on the tyres and will race well. Qualified in 11th in a Renault  (1 Aero upgrade) on Legend difficulty, 50% race, full quali, half practices. 

Crazy good setup, this is probably one of my most favorite setups. Very consistent, superb tyre wear. Kudos bro!

PS: I will say this again to new people playing, there is NO difference in setups for PC, PS4 or XBOX1. Or any other console for that matter regarding any other F1 titel. Correct me if I'm wrong but that has never been the case before.

Conclusion, you do not need to ask for a specific setup for PS4 just ask for a team and a map. Cheers!

My target was to get into the 39´s and wow after just a couple of laps i did it :D
The setup is very stable on the rear but hasn´t as much understeer as the base setup

Thanks to @Steeev88 for his set up as it was the basis for mine. I changed a few things on it as the brakes were locking up and I was getting a load of understeer. This is a good balanced setup for a smooth driving style. I only use racing line and traction control on full and no other assists.

Qualified on Super Soft tyres with a 1:39.907 but could've gone a bit faster - it was enough for pole position on Expert difficulty. I was due to pit on lap 9 but had enough in the tyres to stop on lap 11 for my 1-stop strategy onto Soft tyres. Fastest race lap came on lap 13 with 1:41.573. Didn't push all that hard in the race as I didn't need to. I maintained a 6 second lead to second most of the race. That was until I lost concentration and picked up some corner cutting penalties meaning I dropped to second behind Rosberg who beat me by 0.032 in the end.

Car handled well throughout the race - even on worn tyres. Watch out for the tyres locking whilst braking for turns 4 and 13 though, had to make sure I didn't lock the brakes as they are harsh braking zones after a long fast left turn. Other than that, a decent setup. I quickly threw it into TT with a Mercedes and managed a 1:38.079

Hey racing mates, it's me again, continuing my Haas series here for the whole season and all tracks. Race 4 is in Sochi. I never raced on this circuit before and I must say, I really enjoyed the track design. The first and second sector are pretty fast and the third is more technical where balance of the car is crucial, especially in slower sections. The total difference to China is tyre wear here, tyres are wearing really slow and you can push a lot of laps. 

Again, I post the setup after I did the race, so I added lap data screenshots from the race for you. You can see that we started on Inters and afterwards my engineer pulled out a 2 stop strategy with supersofts. On lap 25 Safety car deployed therefore a couple of slow laps. At the end rain set in again, back to Inters and I managed to finish 3rd due to problems on both Mercedes :)

Well you have only gone and done it again with this set up. Suits my style down to a tee. I have to say Sochi is one of my favourite circuits! 

I tested out some set ups in time trial before heading over to career.

Time trial bests are as follows:-

James set up :- 1.38.228, long run laps were consistantly in the mid 1.38,s.    Steeev88 set up:- 1.38.978 Only managed one lap under 1.39.                           This set up:- 1.37.772, consistantly lapping under 1.38.

So with that I moved onto my career with this set up. Practice went by beautifully. Qualifying in P3 was hampered by rain so unable to get a proper time in my force India.  It also goes without saying there was no R&D done between China and Russia. So still only 2 upgrades on the car (engine and downforce). 

On to Quali

Q1:- 1.39.626 (Soft)                                                                        Q2:-1.53.355 (Inters).                                                                     Q3:-1.38.683 (SuperSoft) 

 

Race:- 

Opted to start the race on the Soft tyre (inters in q2 meant I had the option), and quickly learned that the tyre wear with this set up on the track is simply superb. Now as I mentioned in China I do  25% races due to time. This ,met that the race was only to be 13 laps long. By the time I pitted at the end of lap 7 for super soft rubber, my tyres were only 13% worn. And this is having been pushing for the whole first stint. Lapping consistantly in the low to mid 1.40's. But knowing tyre wear wasn't an issue, I wanted to go faster so I pitted early. On go the supersoft boots, and straight away my lap times improved by around 6 tengths of a second. Straight into the high 1.39's, eventually finishing with a 1.39.4 as my fastest lap of the race.  Absolubtly love this track, and this set up works absolutely wonders. Great for tyre wear, handling and speed.
